My friend invited me to this space in a mall where you essentially allowed yourself to be merged with a dead or otherwise static xenomorph. We stood in line and talked about our misgivings, but they had nothing to do with living or dying so much as being about our need to hold onto our identities. At some point he got moved ahead of me, went through with it, and left out into the mall somewhere to wait for me. Based on where I was in line, I could see who was going to be getting which alien. Everyone in front of me was getting one of the human morphs, but I was going to get the dog morph with a unicorn horn. I left because now I really wasn't sure how this was going to go, and I wasn't sure whether I could trust the attendants to answer my questions or murder me. I walked wary around the mall. I saw people in alien forms walking around normally, but given their appearance, I couldn't really discern their intent. Some were driving giant Jeeps in donuts in the mall. I couldn't find my friend anywhere, and I was getting lost. I found my way to a Sears, of all places, and my friend finally called me to ask where I was and to let me know that he needed to leave. I told him I did too and that I didn't go through with it. He went silent. I had cardboard in my teeth.
